ニューヨーク在住の日本人アーティストのスタジオ兼住宅のインテリアの改装が竣工しました。天井の高いロフトスタイルの中に、畳の部屋を作りました。日本から畳や障子紙を輸入し、しっとりした和室ができあがりました。大きな湯槽のある日本式のお風呂も最高です。ニューヨークのスカイラインを眺めながらの開放的な住まいができあがりました。
Yumi Kori completed an Apartment Interior Renovation Project in Chelsea, New York. It is created for an Artist Studio and Residence for Nobi, Nobuho Nagasawa, well known Japanese born New York based Artist. Kori specially imported Tantami mats and Japanese Washi paper from Japan, she designed shoji screens that create a cocoon like Washitsu space. With the smell of Tatami mats, the soft light through Shoji screen, this floating tea room creates clam and meditative atmosphere in the center of Manhattan. Yumi Kori Also designed Japanese style Bathroom behind the Japanese room. Here, the Bathroom is treated as “garden” so that, the natural breeze reach from the terrace window and enjoy the Sky view of New York, thus the inhabitant can become one to Nature.
